The Local Area

Graveney is about halfway between the market towns of Faversham and Whitstable, about three miles from each, both with very good road links to the M2 and A299, and a main line railway station. Famous Canterbury with all it's ancient treasures and excellent choice of shops is about fifteen minutes by car. There is a bus stop opposite the entrance to the park.

In Whitstable harbour you can park up and watch the fishermen land their catch and there's always a good selecton of freshly landed wet fish on sale. Whitstable and Seasalter enjoy a good selection of restaurants and whatever you do don't leave town before trying the famous oysters.

The orchards in the area typify the rural calm and Graveney is well renowned for it's strawberry production.
